Whether you have followed this project from the start, a few years, or are completely new to it, I want to share what is going on…
For years I worked on a SCREENPLAY, initially hoping to make an independent movie based on the ideas of a positive future for Humanity. I finished draft after draft, until I got the crazy idea that maybe it could be Hollywood material..! Someone mentioned “novelization” some years back. That is, turning the screenplay into a novel. The first time I heard it I thought “oh no! I don’t have capacity to do that”.. It had been more than enough writing the screenplay in itself… And with the stroke on top of it all, it was unimaginable.. But then chatGPT came along.. A couple of friends was using it and I became curious.. After the Sundance rejection I was devastated. The last short film had had an amazing reception around the world, winning 63 awards. And I felt almost certain it would be selected at Sundance as well. But it wasn’t. After the initial shock had passed, the thought of novelization came up again. But how to start?I couldn’t find a good opening line even.. Should I try chatGPT, maybe..? I did, and I was amazed. I fed it the first 3 scenes of the screenplay which it turned into a perfectly written opening chapter. And I thought, well the film is a science fiction featuring the GAI, which is a friendly global artificial intelligence. So, it would only be fitting an AI helped writing the book too, no? In any case, that is what I did. chatGPT could handle up to about 3 scenes and one chapter at a time. So I kept feeding it scenes and editing and fine tuning the result, and in a short month I had a book! Personally, I think it is smashing. Even though I know the story well, I still want to see what happens on the next page.. Now the book is polished enough to be released. Release is set to May 2. due to publications like New York Times wanting it long time before publishing if they should happen to select it for review… But it is available to pre-order right now! Thanks to chatGPT that knows everything, I have gotten tons of invaluable tips on self publishing and more.
